Leslie & Ron

This weekend's wedding was only a short drive up to Long Grove and Seasons Restaurant for Leslie & Ron's wedding.

Leslie is Canadian, and despite the fact that they had to overcome a lot of immigration obstacles to finally get to their wedding day, the maple leaf was still on display.

One of Ron's groomsman gave him a bottle of wine dated from the same year they all took a trip out to the Napa Valley....

...however he also attached a "little blue pill" to the bottle....I'll leave the significance of that one to your imagination.

It was a great party, too bad some of the smaller guests couldn't make it to the end! Congratulations to Leslie & Ron!

Jordin & Patrick

I've played a lot of golf and been to a couple of weddings at
Seven Bridges Golf Club but never had the chance to photograph a wedding there until this past weekend.

Congratulations to Jordin & Patrick! Stay tuned though...I had another wedding the day after theirs which should be posted shortly!

Tasty weekend tasting wine.....

No weddings this past weekend, so I headed out to the Napa/Sonoma valleys just outside of San Francisco for a wine tasting weekend with Amy and her parents....

These are a few of the wineries that we visited, listed in no particular order (because they were all incredible!) are Dutch Henry, Chimney Rock, Cakebread Cellars, Merryvale Vinyards, Freemark Abbey, Heitz Cellars, Jarvis, Cosentino Winery, PlumpJack Winery, Silver Rose Cellars.

We also visited (tasted) a couple others whose pictures never made it, and those were Simi, Valley of the Moon, Landmark Winery, On The Edge Winery, Elizabeth Spencer.

...We were lucky enough to be able to stay in the guest cottage that is on the grounds of the Dutch Henry Winery....

...This is the view off of the cottage's deck...

...This was the "take" from our first half day. Amy's parent's purchases are on the left, ours are on the right...

...This is after day #2. I didn't take a picture of the total haul after day three because we had to pack 'em all up to get them shipped home...check back later this week after UPS comes.

Merryvale hosts these really cool parties in their barrel room.

The view from the "dining room" at Auberge du Soleil resort.

Next time I go out to the Napa area, I'm definitely renting a bike and riding each morning. I was really jealous of these guys I'd see rolling along on the road in front of the winery each morning.

definitely a tough place to have to come home from!
