Wedding #2 from this past weekend was Alexandra & Dominick who got married at the very elegant and vintage Redfield Estate at the Grove in Glenview.

It rained most of the day, but you wouldn't be able to tell from looking at the Bride & Groom!

So despite the small slip-up with the wedding cake I mentioned yesterday, Natalie and Steve actually had a very small, intimate, and elegant wedding and lunch reception at the Hotel Baker in St. Charles.

Oops......

Anyone who follows my Twitter Feed may have seen the tease for this one on Saturday, so here's the proof.


Natalie and Steve had just cut their wedding cake, and were traditionally feeding each other a piece of cake......



....EXCEPT the groom was a bit careless with his fork and ended up dropping a decent sized chunk of cake down the front of Natalie's dress.......


....Luckily Natalie was a really good sport about it. In fact it SHE was the one who said I had to put this on the blog!

ISPWP Spring 2009 Contest results

Even though going back to real life after vacation totally sucks, it was nice to come home and find out that three of my images placed in the International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers (ISPWP) spring 2009 contest!

The following images placed 7th, 9th, and 6th in their respective categories.

We got back yesterday after spending a week on the island of Kauai. There will be more pictures to come, but I thought I'd throw this one up for now. How grumpy would you be after leaving scenes like this behind......
